Unlike the PG-13 rating of the original, the film is rated R for violence, gore, and language. A game has also recently been announced for the Sony PSP. The game will center on the lone Predator cleaning up the mess left by a crashed ship. It has not been confirmed whether this will be part of the plot for the movie.
Creatures:
Images have surfaced showing that both creatures have gone through design changes since Paul W. S. Anderson directed the original Alien vs. Predator. These include a return to the ridged-headed soldier aliens last seen in Aliens and a slimmer, more athletic Predator as seen in Predator and Predator 2.
The trailer shows the Predator variant of the Alien, the Predalien, will appear in the film, after being set up prior in Paul Anderson's Alien vs. Predator. The inclusion of the Predalien was confirmed when IGN released an image showing the Predator and the Predalien fighting.
The Predalien differs from the human sprung Xenomorph (Alien) in it's manner of reproduction. All xenomorphs, as shown in the film alien 3, reproduce in identical fashion (via their facehuggers) however the Predalien reproduces through the direct implantation of the embryo. According to the film, this is a secondary means of reproduction used by young queens. This has caused a large amount of controversy with some fans, who claim that according to Alien: Resurrection, the queen only lays eggs. However, it should be noted that the queen in the fourth film was never given a chance to implant embryos directly into a host, and we only see the queen in aliens after she matures.
