Gemma Louise Atkinson (born 17 October
1984 in Bury, Greater Manchester) is an English actress
and glamour model. Gemma was born on November 16, 1984,
in Bury, Greater Manchester, England.
She went to Castlebrook High School,
where she was very involved in school activities. She
did quite a bit of athletics and was an avid sports fan.
Obviously, she was an extremely popular girl and had a
multitude of friends during her school years.
Biography: Originally from Manchester, Atkinson
took her GCSEs at Castlebrook High School. Afterwards,
she became a commercial and photographic model.
Acting: Atkinson rose to fame playing Lisa Hunter
on the teenage soap opera Hollyoaks. She and Marcus
Patric (Ben Davies in Hollyoaks) subsequently appeared
in a spin-off series called Hollyoaks: Let Loose, in
which their characters start a new life living together
in Chester. This has been followed up with Hollyoaks: In
the City, in which their characters return home and set
up again in Liverpool.
Atkinson also played Goldie Lookin Chain's love interest
in their video R'n'B. She also features on the cover of
the single. Gemma Atkinson was too into sports to be
interested in modeling and acting in her younger years.
Thus, it was Gemma's mom who introduced her to the glitz
and glamour of acting and modeling by deceiving her into
her first audition. Gemma started off in commercial
acting and photographic modeling, and her natural beauty
and adorable face quickly made her quite the commodity.
In 2001, Gemma was cast for the role of Lisa Hunter on
the acclaimed English television series Hollyoaks. Her
role quickly propelled her into fame and
illustriousness. There were few teenage boys who could
not pick Gemma out of a lineup, and she was only 17
years old at the time.
She appeared on Celebrity Weakest Link with Marcus
Patric in December 2006, and has recently been seen as a
contestant on ITV1's "Soapstar Superstar",
reaching the last four stage.
Gemma soon became a staple of the Hollyoaks brand name.
Because of the success of the show and Gemma’s
unbelievably huge following, the producers launched
Hollyoaks: After Hours in 2004. It was a short-lived
program, but it turned Gemma from a teenage star into a
sex symbol in matter of seconds.
Since then, Gemma has appeared in two other spin-offs of
Hollyoaks. In Hollyoaks: Let Loose, she continued to
play the role of Lisa Hunter. However, as the title
entails, Gemma’s role in this series was a lot more
liberal. Gemma also starred in Hollyoaks: In the City,
in which she once again played a more mature and
compelling role.
Glamour modelling: In early 2006, Atkinson
underwent breast enlargement surgery, which took her
chest to a 34F. She said in an interview that she lost
weight due to a fitness regime but her bust slowly
declined. She had the surgery to give them the original
shape they once were. She is also a UK dress size 10,
which means her waist is in the region of 27 inches.
Since launching her parallel career as a glamour model,
Atkinson has appeared in provocative photoshoots in
lingerie and swimwear, including non-nude topless shots,
for men's magazines such as Arena, FHM, Loaded, Maxim,
Zoo Weekly and Nuts. In October 2006 she appeared in
three of the aforementioned magazines in one month,
becoming one of the most prolific celebrity glamour
models in the UK. In November 2006, it was announced by
Zoo Weekly that Atkinson had agreed to become their
regular "sex and relationships columnist".

actor, Cleveland Campbell. She used to date footballer
Marcus Bent of Charlton
More recently, she has been linked to the Portuguese
international and Manchester United star Cristiano
Ronaldo. She admitted to dating Ronaldo on the May 19th
2007 edition of sports show Soccer AM, although in the
football magazine "FourFourTwo" he denied
knowing her. Cristiano's elder sister Katia (also known
as Ronalda, her artist-name) also denied the claims
saying that Cristiano currently has no girlfriends at
all. According to press reports she was also linked to
"Soapstar Superstar" contestants Mark Furze,
